Russia to Send Spacecraft to Mars Moon in 2009

MOSNEWSは10月８日、ロシア連邦宇宙庁(Roscosmos)が2009年に火星の月へ向けて無人探査機を打ち上げるPhobos-Gruntミッションを計画していると報じました。このミッションでは将来の有人探査に向けた情報を収集するほか、有人探査のクルーが利用可能な資源についても調査する予定とのことです。

1990年代に「フォボス探査研究会」に参加して、フォボスの高分解能観測を検討していました。

フォボス探査研究会というのがあったのですね。今回のフォボスミッションはニュースを読む限りでは有人に的を絞っているようですが、フォボス自体の観測機器も搭載されたら面白そうですね。
